Aims & Scope

The Journal of Anatomical Sciences aims to improve upon and upgrade the scientific knowledge in the field of anatomy through research findings, new techniques and opinions by serving as a medium enabling academicians and researchers across the globe to communicate and exchange their knowledge.

The journal accepts recent original research and advances in anatomical sciences in the form of:

  1. Full length original articles

  2. Brief communications including case reports

  3. Review articles

  4. Book reviews

  5. Letters to the editor

  6. Scientific proceedings of the U. P. Chapter of the Anatomical Society of India

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts directly related to the following domains of the anatomical sciences -

  • Gross anatomy

  • Comparative anatomy

  • Histology

  • Histochemistry

  • Embryology

  • Neuroanatomy

  • Cytogenetics

  • Radiological anatomy

  • Clinical anatomy

  • Medical education

The manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Anatomical Sciences are reviewed for publication, with the explicit understanding that they are being submitted with one journal at a time and have not been published or accepted for publication elsewhere, completely or in part.

Target Readership: The Journal of Anatomical Sciences primarily aims to serve as a comprehensive resource for individuals involved in various aspects of anatomy, from basic research to its clinical and educational applications including (but not limited to) Anatomists & Researchers, Medical students & Educators, Radiologists, Clinicians & Surgeons, Cytogeneticists, Educational institutions, Biomedical researchers, Students and Academics in Allied Health Professions and Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industries.
